Moe the sleepy Monkey written PDF crochet / amigurumi pattern. NOTE: this is not the finished toy. This pattern is available in English only. US crochet terms.

This pattern includes written instructions and 32 process photos for making the monkey in a nightcap with velvet yarn. It is beginner friendly, however velvet yarn can be tricky to work with to start. I also include tips for working with velvet yarn.

The finished item will sit at approximately 20cm. Parts are crocheted separately and sewn together, some basic sewing skills are required.

Materials needed:

  • 3.5mm crochet hook
  • Velvet yarn (Bernat baby or similar) in 3 colours, 100g light brown, 50g white and 50g pink
  • Small amount of brown acrylic 8ply yarn
  • 12mm black safety eyes (can be purchased in accessories)
  • Toy stuffing
  • Stitch markers x3
